Day 19 * Thursday 9 April 2020
Another 'work day' with Easter Friday tomorrow and 4 days off! It will be much the same routine otherwise. We have got into a habit of 10.30am coffee. Thanks to Kelly for introducing us to Avalanche Latte sachets. I've perfected the amount of hot water and frothy milk....as good as Streetwise, and only 39c each! Made some scones and jam and cream, a plate for Scott and the kids in their backyard spot, and one for Wayne and Sally and theirs. All done with plastic gloves, own chairs and the social distance of 2-3m. It is nice to 'see' people when in your bubble - these have been ours which has helped get us through. Today we are halfway through the 28 days as a country, with still only one death and about 1150 confirmed with Covid19. Daily at 1pm we watch on TV our PM Jacinda Ardern address the 'nation'. She doesn't flinch the hard questions, keeps us well informed and displays true leadership - rather reassuring that 'we are in this together'. Much of the rest of the afternoon was working off and on the puzzle I am doing....not as easy as it looks! Just a short walk today to Kristin's and back (a wave to her from the gate!).
